PGCE Jobs News and Jobs Round-up 23072022

A selection of the latest education news and jobs from around the world:

Overview

This was a big week for secondary school graduates in Hong Kong who received their DSE examination results on Wednesday. There will be more anxious weeks ahead for the students who got the results that they wanted. Those students will be entering universities locally or working their way through the clearing systems of universities mostly in the UK, Canada, and Australia.

Dubai and France signed an important agreement that will see increased cooperation on higher education, space, and health. The meeting was partly a testament to the importance of intercultural exchange in recent decades, as the UAE President took time in the meeting to reminisce of his first visit to Paris in 1975 when he was 14. Reports suggest the French side found the meeting to be a complete success.

Education in the UK has been in a bit of a log-jam politically since the resignation of Boris Johnson. There have been 3 different Secretaries of Education in this month alone, with both Nadhim Zahawi and Michelle Donahan resigning. The ridiculousness of this has fortunately not dented the wider reputation of the country’s higher education sector, and reports below indicate that interest in attending UK universities is growing in territories outside the EU.

We are pleased to say that traffic at PGCE Jobs is growing steadily month-by-month. We have seen a lot of interest from job seekers in Dubai and the UK lately, and are looking to host more job opportunities from these regions for the foreseeable future.

If you have any news or jobs that you want to see featured on the website, please send a message to “[email protected]” and we will see about adding it to future round-ups.
